Payment Methods & Security:

Our 'Checkout' facilities are provided by PayPal, allowing you to pay for your goods safely and easily using a credit/debit card or your PayPal account . PayPal is  the world's largest  internet payments organisation; globally trusted, they allow you to pay for goods on the internet without exposing your credit/debit card or bank account details to individual online merchants.

When making a payment through our website your financial information is not made available to SEW Silver, so payment details can never be stored by us.  

You do not need a PayPal account to shop with us - use your credit or debit card and PayPal will simply facilitate the transaction.

Stock Availability:

In the event that a web-order is placed for an item that is out of stock we will contact you as soon as possible to advise when we anticipate having the item back in stock. If the item won't be available within 10 days from the original order date we will offer you the opportunity to chose an alternative item or request a refund.

Packaging & Shipping Information: 

  • Unless otherwise specified all items are packaged very carefully in tissue paper and/or an organza gift bag or black suedette pouch, then bubble-wrapped and sent in a padded envelope.
  • Goods are typically despatched within 1-3 working days of receipt of order, however depending on the volume of orders being received it may occasionally take up to 5 working days. Should there ever be a situation where despatch will take more than 5 working days you will be notified by email. 
  • P&P to the UK is free for all jewellery orders unless clearly specified otherwise, i.e. in the case of items that are supplied in a presentation box a supplement is charged to allow for the additional postage costs due to package size. Goods are despatched using Royal Mail First Class and/or Recorded (Signed-For). 
    Orders for delivery to destinations in the European Union are fixed at £4.50 per order and use Royal Mail 'International Signed-For'.

Cancelling an Order:

If you change your mind about the order you have placed and the goods have not yet been despatched it is possible to cancel the order and any money you have paid will be refunded in full within 5 working days.

Please contact Customer Services as soon as possible if you wish to cancel an order.

Returns & Refunds:

Unwanted Items:

            1. Any item, with the exception of earrings (see point 6 below) may be
            
returned for a full refund within 14 days of purchase. 

            2. Returns will ONLY be accepted by prior agreement. Please e-mail
            mail@sewsilver.co.uk
and we will issue a returns reference. You must include a 
            copy of the original packing slip and write the returns reference on it - failure to do
            so may cause a delay in processing your refund.

3. Goods must be unworn and returned in their original packaging. Goods that have been worn or tampered with will NOT be refunded.

4. Return postage costs will be at the buyer's expense.

5. SEW Silver can not be held liable for returning items that get damaged in transit or do not reach us (even if you have a 'Certificate of Posting'), and no refund will be issued in such an event. For your own protection please use a postal service that includes insurance for loss/damage.  

6. Earrings can not be returned for reasons of hygiene.

7. Your money will be refunded within 5 working days of the goods being received by SEW Silver.

Faulty Goods:

1. Please report goods damaged in transit within 48 hours of delivery, and faulty goods within 28 days of receipt, by e-mailing mail@sewsilver.co.uk giving full details of the problem.

2. We will respond by e-mail advising whether the item can be replaced or simply refunded, and issue a returns reference. You must include a copy of the original packing slip with the returning item and write the returns reference on it - failure to do so may cause a delay in processing your replacement/refund. Please remember to state your preference for replacement or refund if you have been given that option.

3. In order for SEW Silver to refund or replace a faulty item in the event of it not being received by us, validated proof of posting will be required. (A 'Certificate of Posting' can be obtained free of charge at any Post Office).

4. Refunds will be issued within 5 working days of the goods being received by SEW Silver.

5. All items are quality checked before being despatched. Items that have been deliberately tampered with or misused will NOT be refunded.

Notice On Handmade Goods:

Every item we sell is made to the highest standards and all goods are quality checked before being despatched. However, please bear in mind that part of the character of handmade jewellery is that it isn't necessarily flawless, as it is not uniformly mass-produced by machines. Natural stones are subject to inherent imperfections and such items can not be returned as faulty.
